Last week our CEO and founder, Linda Olson, presented her tips and strategies for budding web tech entrepreneurs at Tampa’s Lunch 2.0 and at the FastTrac© TechVenture Program, a 2-day program created by the Kauffman Foundation and hosted by Pinellas County Economic Development.

By talking about her personal experiences, Linda described several challenges she has faced and overcome during the earliest days of WOMbeat! and shares several key lessons learned that can be applied to most startups.  She walked the audience through the four phases of all startups (Idea Generation, Product Building, Business Building and Business Scaling), and described which things an entrepreneur should be focusing on or avoiding in each phase – including business plans, capital raising strategies, recruitment and hiring strategies, advisors, competitive analysis and marketing/PR strategies.
